update 9/2...I have to say, since I have been on FCC, I have cried with everyone for everyone. I feel really blessed to have all I have. I have my home, health is pretty good, knees, well forget that. I had broken my arm back in April, 2010 and still dealing with the fact that my left wrist doesn't want to cooperate with me. I also found out yesterday that a good friend of mine, who is a most awesome person, that her kidneys are operating at 30%. I offered her one of mine if it comes to that. If I get nothing off of this site, I will have gained everything just from being here. I pray that everyone gets what they need, whether it be big or small. The teenagers that get on here for a parent in need, I applaud you. The teenagers that come on here and say they need a way to get to school, get on the school bus. We all have to start somewhere. Don't know about you, but I appreciate everything my parents ever did for me. All the way down to, not buying me my first vehicle. I had to go and work for it. But they backed me up. Now, I back them up. My dad just beat colon cancer. My mom just beat corroded artery blockage of 75% in one and 95% in the other. The only problem for her now is, the left artery, when they cleaned it out, scraped it too thin, it was bleedding constantly. They had to tie it off. She has 1 artery going to her brain. But, you know what, she is still here and doing well. My only problem now is, I can't get to Ozark, AL to see them. I miss them so much. I also found out that my xboyfriend, admitted to taking both vehicles for spite, because I asked him to move. When I lost my 2nd husband to congestive heart failure, I thought I was doomed. I was losing the only person I saw, besides my children, on a daily basis. I had to figure out my life all over again. When things started to really fall apart, I moved to GA for 5 yrs,to get my self back. I had to find me again, I did, I prevailed,until now. I took hold with everything I had and did everything I wanted to do. Even going back to school. But not for your ordinary every day normal job. I learned how to drive an 18-wheeler. I was known as Chitchat to other truckers out there. I enjoyed what I did. Until my knees fell in. I have a new love of my life. I met him when I used to drive. He lives in NC though, so I don't get to see him much right now. He is still driving. I want my independance back, but if someone here needs something I have or I can do for them, I will give all I can. Communication is always open. I have been signing petitions. Joining websites and writing to Oprah and anything else I can do. I have a friend who is a car salesman. He gave me phone no. for someone around here that handles car donations and charity things. I called her, explained what we have on FCC and asked her to look at the website. I gave her the web address. She, all of a sudden said, "We don't do it for free" and proceeded to hang up on me. I didn't ask for anything except to look at the website. When I got the first part of the name out, free, jumped to all kinds of conclusions. So, will try again. I have also been in communication with a new country face,singer/musician. I would love to work up some kind of concert or fundraiser. That would be so much fun and well worth it. My quilt idea is still here. I am just busy working on one for my newest grandson. Love and well wishes to everyone. My prayers, tears and votes go out every day. The more I read the stories on here, the more I try to do. I also have found out why my water is getting progressively worse, it's bad. My well has a hole in it. I don't have the $450 to sleeve it. ************************************************************ What does it take? Back in 2004, I was so proud, bought some property and and ordered a new moblile home,cause they go up faster than a house. I drove a semi for a living. I lived in my truck for 2+ yrs saving to get the house and property. Not long after I moved in, I was doing well enough, I bought an '06 F-150 p/u. This was short lived, my mother became very ill, in another state, and I had to be there for her. No matter what I would lose. After all I knew I had a good job. In 2007, I lost the truck. It became a matter of trying to save my house or the truck. I saved my house. I met someone, we lived together 3 yrs. I could take no more of him. His drinking was overwhelming to me. He had 2 vehicles,that he aquired while we were together, he took both of them. I, within all this time had knee surgery and had to stop driving a semi. I am on long term dissability, fixed income. Still have my home, but nothing to drive. Can't afford payments at this time, and still keep my house. Won't jeapordize that again. Please help me to figure all this out.
