My name is Susan Kenney, formerly Susan Arsenault. I am a single mother of two beatuiful children 16yrs and 11yrs. In and around October of 08 I lost my job, I was going through a very problamatic divorce, and in May 09' my daughter was diagnosed with a rare cancerous disease (LCH) that attacked her brain and several places on her bones leading to increased medical bills. The only curable treatment to this fatal disease was chemo therapy. My dauighter was in several ambulance transports to local hospitals, and childrens hospital Boston, recieved all her chemo treatments at Dana Farber Boston 5x's a week for months. During her time of diagnnosis and treatment, (2) biopsy surgeries several hospitliizations and chemo treatment I had been borrowing cars and rides from family and friends as we did not own a vehicle and do not have a commuter rail or terminal within a 20m radius. My ex-husband was arrested for domestic assault, i've had several restraining orders and managed all of the above on my own Eventually, In August i purchased a 99' subaru forester 139,000m we were so happy to finally have our own vehicle, however it turned out to be unreliable. It broke down on the highway while taking my daughter home from one of her chemo treatments in Sept. I am currently borrowing a friends car which thus has to be returned soon. My daughter is currently back in school full time and is routinley being seen seen at Dana F and Childrens for follow-ups. I have a 5yr Customer service background, a cosmetology licence (10yrs), and paralegal certificate (recent BU graduate of certificate program April 09'). I realize there are a lot of needy families out there and I am thankful for considering my family for recieving a free charity car and assistance in finding me a partime/full time job.
