Married for 13 yrs. to an abusive husband and father, he had 12 charges of abuse and neglect. He signed off his rights.I am a single mother, went to college full time for 5 years pursuing nursing, and trying to work full time, ended up in hospital twice. Got our house foreclosed on and children and I were split up for 6 months, due to nowhere to stay all together. We have to go without heat at least twice during every winter, due to not being able to afford the propane. Our total income for 2009 was under $6,000.00. Meanwhile my estranged husband makes 65,000 a year, lives in a brand new house he built, drives a brand new car,has a jacked up "mudding" vehicle,takes vacations out of the country! My youngest boys can not play sports they would like because I can not afford the fee, equipment or the gas for practice and games. My oldest quit school at the age of 15, did home schooling and got a job, just to help me pay the bills and provide a Christmas for his younger siblings! I graduated May 2009, with my LPN degree in Nursing, now I have hopefully got a good job with benefits, to start in 2 weeks, and my car is in repo due to me being laid off and searching for a nursing job for over a year. I am trying to help my children and myself, but to no avail. Receiving a car could make all the difference for my children and myself, I could finally make the money I need to self sufficiently take care of my children, my stress would be down to a minimum, which would prevent me from ending up in the hospital, like I have 3 times in the last 3 years (more time away from my children.) It would be a prayer come true!!!
