UPDATING THE UPDATE: CIRCA May, 2010: Lordy, Lordy, Lordy...I got 2 pregnant daughters, both high risk, both due in July but will probably deliver in June, one with twins. Getting to appointments, WIC, the store and Moses House (help for pregnant girls/women)is a trip. Jazzybaby from the 1st part of my story is on this site but havent't been voting cause shes out of it most of the time. Why they're back in the nest at this time in my life when I need help is beyond me! Being high risk they can't do anything so I am servant to them and Jazzy's 18 month old. Whew! I'm soliciting prayers for this household and my Navy baby...hes going to Afganistan June 10th; just made 21. So I'm staying close to the Lord...and FCC waiting on a car! 4/17/2010: Thank God for daily chances to start anew! I gotta new attitude, new confidence, set new goals and started a self improvement bookclub! Theres a car out there for me and I'm waiting on it! If its a PT Crusiser, I won't be mad! UPDATE: ME & MY PREGNANT DAUGHTER (NOT CCEECS OR JAZZYBABY) HAD TO WALK HOME YESTERDAY EVENING IN THE COLD DARK DESERT...TUMPLEWEEDS, SNAKE HOLES, CUCCABUGS EVERYWHERE NOT TO MENTION OUR FEARS AND THE DANGEROUS 395 HIGHWAY; THERES COYOTES TOO! THANK GOD WE DIDN'T SEE ANY! WE WALKED 1 1/2 HOURS TRYING 2 GET HOME ALL BECAUSE THE BUS (2 BUSSES) DID NOT COME. I NEED A CAR! Hello. I was duped into moving out to the high desert by my son-in-law who raised our agreed rent as soon as I got there. After 3 months, he kicked me, my daughter and her 3 kids including his 4 year old out in the cold about 11:00 p.m. I was living in Wilmington, CA when my kids began having problems with the next door neighbor. He wanted to fight them (2 daughters and my son); he vandalized their cars; we had a party to welcome back my son from Boot Camp (Navy) and a baby shower maybe 3 weeks later and this guy threw dirt pots or whatever was handy at my front door both times. It was scary and ongoing, whenever he saw my kids were there. The son-in-law from hell invited me to move in with him and my oldest daughter. He said just pay $600.00 a month toward rent. When I got to his lovely 4 bedroom 3 bath home, he raised my rent to $800.00 and I was not able to save for a car or my own place, and I discovered my daughter (cceecs) married Hitler, Manson and Scrooge all rolled into one. Hitler cause hes ruthless, cceecs has no rights in his home, she has to ask to wash clothes, use the phone, everything and he is a bad influence on the kids; he curses her out in front of the kids and curses them too; Manson cause hes crazy, and controlling, Scrooge cause he makes good money but will make me and my daughter cook in the dark or by TV light so we don't run up his bill. I had to hide in closets whenever his mother came by sometimes for hours cause he never told her I was staying there (she owned the house)No room to tell it all! This was from 9/1/08-12/31/08. On 1/1/09 I gave him $600.00-next night he kicked us all out in the night. It was cold! We froze almost 3 hours waiting for my daughter to come from L.A. to pick us up! She gave us money for a few days at a motel, my church helped and a friend, but the money ran out and we ended up in a shelter. Now we're in a 2 bedroom, small but thank God, however, you really need a car to get around in the desert but I have a bad case of bad credit. Buses don't go everywhere. I can't get to my dr.'s office (diabetic) because theres no service or sidewalks on that street. Theres no sidewalks on my street as well. Sundays I can't do anything cause theres no service. I'm retired and already have a tight budget thats going to be drastically reduced this year. I've become an Avon Representative now and need to deliver my products as well as get groceries, do laundry, drs., etc. and its winter! I will be moving from my daughters apartment as soon as I'm able. God bless this site! I hope everyone who needs a car gets one!
