In 2008, I return back to Stuttgart, AR after being in San Diego, CA for twenty years. When I got back to my home town I found my mind pondering, about the life of community as it is now. After being he for a few months and seeing my first tornado in Stuttgart. So one day my cousin and I went for a walk to the park. A few moments later, we start hearing several shots fired. As it rings out; kids, teens and some adults start running, seeking cover as soon as possible, other gapping their kids, for those already across street duck for cover behind vehicles. As I stand their, I heard a teen may be early twenties tell another kid that was about twelve “you better stand their and don't run neither”. He raised his voice firmly saying” stand their like a man, then he ask him are you afraid? ” the youth said nothing and he asked him again. Are you afraid? The youth said “no”. As I stood their, I fell an envision come over me. Is there’s a lot of aggression? Is there a lot of resentment in some of our neighborhoods, beside guns violence, drugs dealing, drug uses, violence and crime. Then I start seeing how children was struggling with Social and Emotional Learning Curriculum and other looking for difference opportunities, Many of which these parents or youth living in disadvantaged circumstances or faces disproportionate risk or challenges, as often was the case, single parent, where single parents fight valiantly to keep their heads above water. So I got tired of watching children going thru this. So my mission is to Combat Violence and Risky Behaviors that is associated with self-destructive behavior, substance abuse, gang involvement, crimes and childhood obesity. The goals of education need to be reframed to prioritize not only academic learning, so by me incorporate the sports of boxing as a physical fitness training methods centered with Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Curriculum. As I unifying and transform bridges between differences, and cultural boundaries, while promoting discipline, goal setting and accomplishment for youth as well as comprehensive physical fitness (good health) and character education. So the Organization I create will be committed to re-building communities by incorporating the sports of boxing into a physical fitness training methods centered with Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum as a program. The envision is to reframed the education need, by improving academic learning in the lives of our youth by providing, any child who wishes to learn pugilistic skills and other athletic activities, with the means and opportunities, providing a viable alternative to other destructive options. This will instills discipline and sportsmanship. While growing the sport of boxing in rural neighborhoods to under-privileged or at-risk or not at risk youth. We are a non-profit youth organization in Stuttgart, Arkansas and thus overseen by a Board of Directors and is serving the global community. I have a part-time even job. I’m a single father with my first 2 years old son. I’d delivery pizza, I recently purchase another car, and it needs brakes, rotors, tires and front wind shield. I own 3,900 on it and I can barely make the payments of $200.00 a month. I can’t even afford to pay the registration of 400.00 and it been sitting for 3 months now. And my other car is about to break down any time now. It needs a radiator, CV axle, CV boots, front windshield, and tires. Even thought I have a job, it barely covers my cell bills, home bills and daycare. I have been struggling and struggling, since I had to quit my second morning job a couple months ago. I have been trying to finish off my non-profit youth organization to help knock out drugs and street activities, but I just cant seen to raise 850.00 to send 501 c 3 by Jan 2010. I have tried to do fundraisers, “I’m not having any lucky with that”. I want to help the youth here, but at the same time I want to become independent business owner and be around my son, and raise him. I got a call today from a doctor 12-01-09 that I might have a brain tumor. **UPDATE** 12-23-2009** i went to the specialist and i was informed that i do have a brain tumor, but it only the size of peanut and it's nothing life threathening right now. but i do have to go back and get a cat scan every 6 months to cat scan to check for any activity or growth.***UPDATE** 01-02-2010 i just bought my son the Tarzan 2 movie, we was watching it after he woke up at 1030 pm, then all of sudden AT 3 AM I notice he made a noice and became very unresponsed to me, he suddenly had very high body temperature and his body tighten up and i run with him wrap up in a blanket down the street just three house over the FIRE STATION and bang, bang on the back door, NO! body would answer the door. so i ran back home jump in the car drove to the hospital emergency. they did blood work, cat scan, x-rays and they couldn't find any thing wrong with him after being their until 630 am. ****UPDATE*** The cold weather hit and it busted my raditor or crack my engine block, cause the water mix w/anti-freezers had turned into slushes water and other areas was frozen.
