Hi, I'm Meredith, I dont know how good I will do at this , but I will try. Here goes. I am a mother of 5 Married to my husband Tim. I am disabled. I have Multiple Sclerosis and Cardiomyopathy. My husband and I lost our house to foreclosure when I got sick, and our lives have been an up hill battle since. WOW, that does sound bad.lol.. I know there are a lot of people in worse positions than I am in. I dont like to complain. I am not a pity vote kinda of girl, but its becoming easier everyday! lol.. Seriously We have worked real hard. I didnt plan on getting sick. A lot of times I am normal or I like to think. My husband works in the carpentry field. He has been doing it all of his life. The economy doesnt favor carpentry not in Maine anyways. So his company has lmited work, last year he was out 6 mos. and trying to find a job, was impossible. We live in the sticks, not a lot of work of any type available. Our cars are all just about dead, mine just died, I put my last bit of money into it only to find out, it was something else, now it will cost me more than the car is worth to have it fixed, and I dont have money for that or a car. We dont have any credit due to the foreclosure, which I feel guilty and ashamed about, its so embarrassing sometimes. My husband drives an uninspected vehicle its a 93 chevy suburban, it fits all the kids, and his tools. But it needs a lot of work, so we are currently sharing that one, but the doors wont shut up front, I am afraid I am going to fall out when he is going around the corner, he tells me all the time, Jeep Wranglers don't have doors, and people dont fall out of those, and I tell him , well I know honey, but there seatbelts work, they dont use an arm rest to hold them in. lol.. It is funny and we laugh at ourselves all the time. After all, what good is it going to do to cry about everything, so we like to find the humor! We are going to be known as the excesively happy family pretty soon!! So we would really appreciate, love, and be ever so thankful if we were to receive a new car. I could go get to my docotr appts, as much as i complain i really need to get there, my specialist is almost 90 miles away,i could take the children to their appts too, they miss a lot of scheudualed apts due to lack of car,I could take my children to school if they miss the bus,go to the gorcery store to get milk, and lets not forget I will save Maincare a lot of money by NOT falling out of my husband truck, I'm sure the hospital bill could be quite extensive in that type of accident. So please if you could find it in your hearts to help, my family would be ever so greatful. Thankyou for this oppurtunity!
