Hi, my name is Samantha. I live in Southern Illinois, in a small town called Centralia. I'm a mom of three BEAUTIFUL boys! Alex 22, Cory 20, Christopher 17 & 1/2. We are all disabled, some of us are worse than the other, but we togather we make one heck of a team!! My two oldest boys live on there own in apt. for disabled & seinor citazions. However they rely on me to take them around to pay their monthly bills & shopping for household items & food & were ever else they need to go. Doc. Dentist specialist. ect... ect... My 20 year old son has severe seizures (grand mal). Due to his seizures he has problems with his arms dislocateing & needs surgury in Saint Louis, we have had to cancell sooo sooo many appt.. He has hurt hisself so many times. He has had a sezuire in the van while going to a appt. & I had to pull over & call 911. The atms had to crawl through the hatch & take seats out just to get to him!! NON of the doors open but the drivers door & the hatch. (He was sitting in the back of our van) Got him to the hospital & he was ok (IS)! There is no inside paneling it has fallen off & all the wires are hanging out of it & throughs sparks everytime you open & close the doors!! It is just a trap, I HATE to put my babies in the stupid thing!! But with it being our form of transportation what am I suppose to do?? We have no other means of transportation even if we did who could afford it?? My youngest son is in high school his last year,(we hope) he has struggled through school it has been very hard for him! He is in special ed. There is tutoiring after school but is unable to attend due to not haveing transportation. There is soooo sooooo many things that we could do if only we had reliable transportation. Like my son could go to the specialist for his surgerys they want to do for his arms dislocating,my son could go to get the extra help after school, I could possible be able to go back to school, maybe even go see my family. I could do alot more things that needs to be done! My mom has had open heart surgery & I couldn't be there, they had to use the paddles on her to bring her back to us, she is doing ok now, but has to have another surgery after Christmas to get a pacemaker & a fibula put in, I would love to beable to be there for my Mommas surgery!!!! It would mean the world to us all if we could!! She only is abou 4-5 hours away by automobile, I would HATE not being there for her!!!! I want to be able to go when necassary, for my boys & my Momma (family). PLEASE help me & my wonderful family!! I don't know if I can look my boys in the eyes another day & tell them I can't take them to get them the medical attention they sooo desperatly need!!!! PRAYING FOR US ALL!!!! I am sooo proud of him!! We are missing sooo many appt. due to lack of transportation, we have no public transportation here so the only thing left to do is cancell appt. that are sooooo despertaly needed!! I haven't been on in awhile & for that I'm sooo sorry.... I suppose I lost hope, just seemed that everything is happening at once & it has hit me like a ton of bricks... My son Cory the one that has seizures gran mal seizures has had more seizures & has been at the hospital for this matter & his arm dislocateing it is hard to get anywere with no transportation I have lost nights of sleep for stress & worry of my son & my health issues as well my health isn't getting any better & I'm getting scared as what is gonna happen next...
