4-15-10 UPDATE: While I was getting depressed doing my income taxes today (I owe!) I got a call on my cell phone - did not recognize the number so let it go to voice mail. I kept getting this little nudging feeling that I needed to take care of the call immediately. So I went into my voicemail heard: Hi Cynthia - this is Reggie and i hung up the phone! lol! I got so nervous. So then I figured I better listen to what he has to say - he told me he has a car - was I interested?!! YOU BET!!!!! I got the call today at 12:47 pm - I will never forget this moment as long as I live - nor will I ever forget all those who have helped me get to this point. I LOVE YOU FCC - BRIAN - REGGIE and all my fcc friends! God gives to those with the greatest need. Don't give up hope - it TRULY does happen. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` UPDATE: 2/14/10 Passenger side door opens, but does not close now - so can't use it - have to climb over the console to get into passenger seat when my fiance is driving! So much fun with boots, bulky, warm winter coats, scarf, gloves! te he! te he! It's interesting - you should see when I have to go for an interview and am wearing a skirt!!!! Not that I've had many interviews, but hopefully this too shall change!~~~~ Crunching, creaking and rattling are just some of the noises coming from my 19 year old car, that has 260,000+ miles on it. That's just going down the road to the grocery store! Can you imagine the sounds it makes when I drive on the Interstate for 2 hours, one way, to get to NJ! The mileage is due to traveling 120 miles one way for the past 19 years, from NJ to PA. There is a huge rust area on the roof of the car, right over the driver side, so when it rains, I get a puddle on the floor. There are rusted out areas near the wheel wells, and who knows what the undercarriage looks like. I have lost some of the insulation between the outside and inside of the car body. So it gets kinda of noisy! Oh, did I forget to mention the peeling paint that flies off the car while I'm driving! I have gone through 3 or 4 transmissions (lost count) and my car is on its second engine. Routine and proper maintenance has enabled me to have my car for 19 years. But alas, its on its last leg. That would not be much of a problem except for the fact that I have not been working for the last 2 years, and for the past 5 years only on temporary assignments. I am now looking for work back in NJ (where I come from) and with the 2 hour/one-way trip, my current vehicle would never make it! I have not been able to save anything from my unemployment checks to put aside for a used vehicle, and even that money is running out soon! Still not a problem, or that great of one. The real problem comes in the form of - my 19 year old car is the ONLY vehicle my fiance and I have access too, since his truck was totalled while it was being repaired! The repair shop forgot to inform us that the engine compartment on his truck caught on fire while they were working on it! Can you say Oops! Not much resolution there, minimum, enough to pay the bills while trying to get them to be held responsible for his loss. Anything you can do to help me in this situation will be appreciated. Get this E-mail message sent around to your contacts ASAP. PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS! You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with an attachment entitled 'POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK,'regardless of who sent it to you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer. This virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it. If you receive a mail called' POSTCARD,' even though sent to you by a friend, do not open it! Shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced by CNN. It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept. COPY THIS E-MAIL, AND SEND IT TO YOUR FRIENDS.
