UPDATE 5/11/10-My car is badly in need of repairs. It's acting up on me again today and making new noises that it shouldn't be. In order for me to work at getting a more reliable vehicle, I must focus more on obtaining employment. I've spent a lot of time at this site in the past nearly 10 months, but now I have to move on. I will still come in and vote and transfer when I can, and will still be promoting FCC everywhere I go. Thank you friends for being understanding. I believe in not putting all of your eggs into one basket, which is why I'm searching for other avenues besides charity to get my vehicle. I've voted for FCC at Chase.com on Facebook, and signed the petition for Brian at Change.org -twice. I'm still working on the flyers for dealerships. I've been struggling financially for over 14 years. I have gone thru transitional housing & was on sec8 after becoming homeless, due to a divorce from an abusive marriage. I struggle with anxiety/depression. My alcoholic father died when I was 24. I was my moms caretaker during the last year or 2 of her life, while I was single, raising my kids, going to school and working. (8 years ago) ~I'm a stronger person, but now I have no one else to turn to for help. ~~ My heart goes out to all of you. How can I say that you should vote for ME? Many of you need a car worse than I do. I do have a car, but it's unreliable & falling apart slowly. I have 2 great kids. My oldest isn’t exactly a kid anymore, she’s 23, attending college to become a teacher.(She has a profile too, "niccolelynn"). My son is 17, a junior in H.S, and he plans to attend college and become a video game developer. For the past 9 months I’ve been volunteering at a nonprofit agency that helps people in need, while also searching for employment. I’ve decided to return to college in January (after 7 years) to complete my duel associates degree in Commercial Imaging and Commercial Writing. ~ To receive any kind of help from FCC would be a real relief. To have a safe, reliable vehicle to help transport my son to school, and myself to a job and school, and everywhere else we need to go would mean the world to us! And ofcourse, I would "pay it forward"! :) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Let's support FCC AND each other by promoting Free Charity Cars in anyway we can!
