"Explain why you are the most deserving candidate and why everyone should vote for you" I can't explain why I am the most deserving candidate. I'm not. My situation is no different than many others. I'm physically disabled and I rely on mobility equipment. Wheelchair, Scooter and Rollator style walker as well as crutches for standing. Everywhere I go I must haul at least a wheelchair and we need a small pick up truck to haul this equipment. We are also a same sex domestic partnered family. My partner and I care for our adult disabled sons at home and we also own a very small animal sanctuary for special needs animals. We keep a maximum of 20 cats and 4 dogs all with various special needs. They enjoy a natural habitat, natural food and supplements, 24/7 care and lots of love, we receive community help with raw foods to feed our critters. My partner is a low wage earner. She cannot apply for help for her family because legally she has no family, if I apply for help as a disabled adult she suddenly becomes family, her income is counted and she is responsible for helping us. So like many other same sex households with disabled adult dependents, she can't get help individually, and I can't get help because her income brings us over the cut off level. We tend to rely more on peer to peer because many of our peers do see us as an equal family dealing with the same issues as other disabled families. We can't afford to buy a reliable vehicle, we just keep buying a new used one each income tax refund but now that we need a truck we are limited to what we can find each income tax refund time and the prices are going higher while the returns don't get any higher. Why should you vote for us? Because we care about others and are very active in peer to peer helping. I have a positive history online and locally for giving to online peer to peer fund raisers and locally for participating in charity events with a local Motorcycle Rights Organization. I dont just take, I have a positive history of always giving forward and can name a website and a local organization who will speak well of my peer to peer sharing history. If you vote for us, you not only help us, you put us in a better situation so we can continue to help others.
