I am doing this page for my parents. They are in desperate need of a car to drive, so my mom can continue to get to work. My parents are both near 60 years old and have worked their whole lives. The past 3 years have been hard, after a down economy they lost their home, lived in a one room storage building (now in a small apartment) They also lost both of their vehicles. My Dad had quadruple bypass surgery in 2008, then 3 more heart surgeries. My mom then had a stroke in 2009. Also in 2009 my Dad had back surgery which has left him unable to walk. He is determined to get back to work, but has been unable to thus far. My Mom works full time about 1/2 hour from their home and has been driving a 12 year old truck that my sister lent them. The truck is falling apart and has had as much work put into it as money allows. My Dad receives disability, but it is not enough to pay for a vehicle. My Mom needs to continue to work so they can stay in the apartment they are in. The old truck they are driving now is very high off the ground and it is extremely difficult for my Dad to get in it from his wheel chair. They need HELP! They were given an old mini van this year, but it has already broken down. They NEED a reliable vehicle!
