I am starting a new chapter in my life of being self employed in the Sedona Tourist Industry. I need a car as part of my work with the public and my service work, helping others overcome the obstacles, the errands, the illnesses, and get to a place of believing a new life if possible. Call me optimistic; I’ll say YES, because that is what helps change the negative thoughts that would keep me in victim mode. The past year has been one of adapting to a shoulder injury, decrease in work availability, loss of car and legal matters to stay in my home. Solutions and new possibilities come from imagining a better world for everyone including myself now. I have donated cars in the past and perhaps that is why I found this site in my time of need. MY BACKGROUND is one of dysfunction and family secrets, trauma,drama, crazy abuse and precious moments of heart felt caring. Lots of angels in my life to guide me with love and forgiveness. Not perfect or trouble free of physical challenge, yet blessed I am able to work. Growing up, my dad was in the military, yes that means moving 40 times. My mom did her best. I had a brother 2 years older who was very unstable. I remember my first beating as a baby. It was easy to pretend there was a new life coming, new dreams, new friends, even if the home front was a fear zone. I be came very self sufficient to survive my brother's mean "jokes" and abuse. School was an escape to new possibility, achievement, and perspectives. Reading was a cheap hobby, and my imagination was a daily prayer for a better world. After I was old enough to leave I did. I still carried around with me deep patterns, judgments, expectations and fears that haunted me until I took some college classes that showed me, I could actually stop the coping cycles and habits I had created. Finally my brother was diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic and then discharged from the army. My parents realized all my injuries and stories of how they happened might have been true.I became an advocate for clearing my past from my body, mind and spirit. I looked for ways to break free of expecting the worse and to forgive and move on. It takes effort, self love and a willingness to find peace in any experience. My family is gone now since 1994, so my early need for self reliance has served me now. Friends are very loved in my world.
