UPDATE 2/20/2010. Just want to let you know that even though we got our van we are staying on to vote and transfer votes to our friends. It is so nice to have a vehicle we can depend on. Keep on believing, it can happen to you. UPDATE 1/22/2010...We had two angels deliver a 2004 Chevrolet Handicap van to us this afternoon. (A husband and wife from Tucson.) We had sent letters out and God sent them to us and answered our prayers. We are thankful for all of the friends we have come to know and love on FCC. I would never have had the courage to send the letters if I had not learned so much from this site and had so much support. We will always remember the friends we have made and the support that has been given to us. We will continue to vote and support you. You will always be in our hearts and prayers. Keep on believing and good things will happen. Thanks again. GOD BLESS........ 12/19 Thanks to all the great friends we have made. It helps to be able to have friends that care so much. Aaron has missed a few days of his day program lately because of transportation and he has been having a break through with his seizures. He gets so excited when he hears of his new friends and votes although he doesn't really comprehend exactly what is going on. He still believes in Santa Claus so he is really anxious for Christmas to get here. 12/10 I want to thank you all for all of the votes that you have given, and the stories that you all are so willing to share. You guys have given me a reason to be hopeful...hopeful that I will get that call and my prayers will be answered! I know that we all have our own story and that we are all in need of some help. I am here more to try to help my son than myself, my son Aaron is 27 and has Cerebral Palsy, he is in a wheelchair and requires 24 hour assistance. In addition to the everyday challenges he suffers from seizures. He has brought so much joy into our lives and has helped humble us in so many ways. I envy his outlook on life and his innocence. He passes no judgment and can love full heartedly, he loves being around people, and in general he just loves life. He finds joy in the simple things, when you see him smile you can't help but smile too. He has been through so much yet he does not place blame on anyone and feeling sorry for himself is not even in the realm of possibilities. We are in severe financial hardship right now, most of the time we do not know how we will make it from one day to the next and we do not have any transportation to get him to his appointments or classes. I have pawned all that I can and unfortunately it still is not enough. I do not want Aaron missing out on life but I feel as though I am nearing a dead end. A gift like this would be a true blessing.
