In 2006 I was diagnosed with very aggressive breast cancer, I had a HUGE 5cm tumor, as big as a AA battery from end to end. I had a mastectomy, aggressive chemotherapy, and 33 radiation treatments, I am triple negative and their are no targeted therapies and all they can do is keep a close eye on me, do scans and if or when it comes back give me more chemo! Right now they are watching 3 nodules on my right lung and something on my liver, doing scans every few months to see if it grows. Chemotherapy is NO picnic and something I hope I NEVER have to go thru again. I also have been diagnosed with Graves Disease. (Hyperthyroidism) From the radiation, who knows? Although the doctors say no, I am not so sure. I am unable to work with all my ailments and on SSI. To add to the list, I also have osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, migraines, ocular migraines,COPD, emphysema, 2 hernia's, and the list goes on and on. I have been rear ended 3 times over the years and had whiplash, and post concussion syndrome, which I still have effects from. uhh! Like getting breast cancer isn't bad enough, right? It seems as every time I get a test done they find something else wrong with me! The only consolation is that I am Still on this side of the Grass! (Knock on Wood!) I guess I should have gotten the EXTENDED WARRANTY! LOL! Needless to say, I see a ton of doctors on a regular basis and have to have good reliable transportation to get to the appointments, my life depends on it! One of my doctors is 30 miles away, and transportation is a must. I live with my 91 year old Mother, and have been driving her car to my appointments, as well as taking her to all of her appointments and the store, the transmission in her car has started to act up and will not shift, so I don't know how long it is going to last. We tried getting the transmission fluid and filter changed, but it still doesn't want to move. No telling how long we can manage to get it down the road without the transmission totally going out. We live in a rural area and transportation is a must. The closest grocery store is 9 miles away. I have two ANCIENT 70's vehicles of my own that are ready for the junk yard. One has four flat tires, and both are severely rusted out, neither run or are worth fixing. I really need a good reliable car of my own to get me back and forth to my MANY doctors appointments.
