Update 01/10 We are doing good. Christmas was above anything we could expect and my whole family was truly blessed. Hubby is working a part-time job 3 days a week. He is working through the pain and dealing with some extreme cold temps. coming home at 3 AM. I have been in Therapy for 3 months and am noticing an improvement. Kids are great except they do not like their schools (bad school). Looking forward to having a Car so that I can transport them to a different school. My husband and I have 4 children. This last year we came out of 2 years of homelessness, staying in shelters and motels because my husband lost his high-paying job and could not find another right away. We lost everything we owned. (Even baby pictures) We also have multiple medical issues. My hubby- has severe nerve damage in leg from a bullet (was shot 6 times 14 years ago-for being in the wrong place at the wrong time) lodged in hip which makes it very painful to walk any distance. He also needs to have reconstructive surgery on his shoulder.Me- I have had two surgeries this year and am currently undergoing physical therapy and will most likely require surgery next month. Our medical issues make it very difficult to get around. My husband is working at a low paying job. He has had to turn down two good job offers for lack of vehicle. The amount of money we pay a month on bus fare far surpassed what insurance and gas would be. We have not been out as a family in over a year. My husband is our only income while I get my medical issues taken care of. After, my recovery my husband will be taking time off to attend to medical needs. The use of car during this time would improve the quality of my family's life. It will make it easier to transport kids and It will open up many opportunities for jobs. I have been wanting to change my children's schools because there is too much violence in their's A car would make that possible..Thank you for reading=)
